¿Quiénes somos?
El grupo de Investigación de Clima, Agua, Cambio Global y Sistemas Naturales está formado por 22 investigadores de distintos centros: Departamento de Geografía y Ordenación del Territorio de la Universidad de Zaragoza, Centro de Investigación en Tecnología Agroalimentaria del Gobierno de Aragón, Consejo Superior de investigaciones Científicas, Universidades de Santiago de Compostela y Ljubljana (Eslovenia), además de un conjunto amplio de colaboradores pertenecientes a la Agencia Estatal de Meteorología, Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro, Instituto Geográfico de Aragón, Universidad de Barcelona, Universidad de Mäinz, Universidad de Cambridge y Universidad de Albany. El grupo se creó de forma oficial en el año 2005 siendo investigador responsable hasta 2017 el Catedrático de Análisis Geográfico Regional José María Cuadrat. En la actualidad el responsable del grupo es el profesor Luis Alberto Longares.
¿Qué hacemos?
Recogiendo una experiencia anterior de más de tres décadas, el grupo centra su trabajo en tres temas: el análisis climático, la dinámica de los sistemas naturales y la hidrología superficial.

SPREAD (Spanish PREcipitation At Daily scale)
Es un nuevo conjunto de datos tabulados de precipitacióna diaria para España. Cubre todo el territorio de España peninsular, Baleares y Canarias en una resolución espacial de 5×5 kilómetros. La precipitación diaria se estimó para cada punto de la cuadrícula desde 1950-01-01 hasta 2012-12-31 en la España peninsular y desde 1971-01-01 hasta 2012-12-31 en las Islas Baleares y Canarias. La cuadrícula se construyó utilizando un conjunto de datos basado en la estación previamente reconstruido utilizando el paquete reddPrec (https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/reddPrec). La información de precipitación observada comprendía 12,858 estaciones proporcionadas por la Agencia Meteorológica Española (AEMET); Ministerio de Agricultura y Medio Ambiente (MAGRAMA); Servicio Meteorológico de Cataluña (METEOCAT); Gobierno de Navarra y varias confederaciones hidrológicas.
